IS photography a tool for change?
Photography has been a powerful force for change since its inception. With the changing
climate and its increasing effects on our lives, how can photographers use the power of
their medium to create the change needed for a brighter future? To answer this, we must
look further into the ways that photographers are doing this now, the issues they face, and
how they are overcoming these problems.
In the full document linked bellow we explore how the way in which we represent the issue is key to
photography’s effectiveness at talking this worldwide crisis. We also look at how the
environmental sector uses photography and how this growing market could be a fantastic
place to start important yet difficult conversations. Before looking into how combining
forces with others can allow us to make more meaningful action. It is now imperative that
we start to make the transition to a more sustainable society and photography can be a vital
tool for this transition.
Can photography do more than raise awareness about the climate crisis?
